face-to-face IN BONDI JUNCTION and telehealth sessions

Please send us an email to enquire about our current fees. Medicare rebates and private health fund rebates available.

There are options to have your fees partially covered when you see a Psychologist. You do not need a referral to see a Psychologist. However, you will need a referral and a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP if you wish to claim rebates for psychology services through Medicare’s Better Access to Mental Health initiative.

MEDICARE REBATES

Under the Better Access scheme, those experiencing mental health difficulties are currently eligible for up to 20 rebates of $129.55 per calendar year. The out of pocket expense for standard session fee after a rebate is $130.45. Read more about utilising the Better Access for Mental Health scheme. Please note you need a referral letter and Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP to be eligible.

If you are experiencing symptoms of an Eating Disorder, your GP will assess your eligibility for an Eating Disorder Plan which entitles you to up to 40 rebates for psychological treatment and up to 20 rebates for Dietetic sessions per calendar year. Read more

HEALTH FUND REBATES

Most private health funds offer rebates for psychology services, depending on your specific type of cover. We can issue you a receipt to lodge with your private health fund.

Helpful note: you cannot claim both Medicare and private health fund rebates for the same session.
